Cadiz Police D.A.R.E.

Drug Abuse Resistance Education has been a part of Trigg County Schools for over 20 years and continues to educate young people about the dangers of drug abuse and violence in our community.

Some of the topics taught:

The effects of Tobacco, Alcohol, Marijuana and Inhalants.

Peer pressure, decision making, positive and healthy alternatives to drug use and much more.

Trigg County DARE is making some changes this year. The DARE program for Trigg County Schools will be making a transition from elementary school to middle school. Starting Fall of 2009 Trigg County DARE will resume educating young people and insuring they understand the truth about drugs and how they effect the community.

During the transition, Trigg County DARE will be working on budgetary issues and new training for the middle school program.
